Adieu to our great Ursuline Visionary Leader - Mother Aloysia Vaz: Mother Aloysia Vaz - a great and exemplary Mother, who was adorned with the virtues of deep prayer, strong faith, profound humility, charity and a total commitment to the Lord, having lived a life of complete surrender and obedience to God’s ways in her life has now reached her ETERNAL HOME on 3rd April 2017. Mother Aloysia was one among the first Indian vocations to join the UMIs in 1941. She has served the Congregation with great generosity in many vital roles from 1946 onwards. She had dedicated her life totally for the growth and expansion of our Congregation and specially for our Indian Mission. Her contribution for the growth of the Indian Mission cannot be easily calculated; it was enormous and achieved by sheer hard work and dedication. She was a woman of courage, a person of integrity and farsightedness. All through her life She was a ‘mother’ interested in every sister, every community and the entire Congregation. She was a person who walked the talk, was a true daughter of God and of our Foundress Bl. Brigida of Jesus. We thank you dearest Mother ! You will remain alive in our hearts forever. May your soul rest in peace. Pray for us from heaven.
